Want to hear a ghost story? Much like our favourite narrator Lucy Carlyle, we know a few.
It started the way many ghost stories do: we fell in love. In 2023, the four of us each separately stumbled across a series on Netflix called Lockwood & Co. The show piqued our interest enough that we quickly devoured the Lockwood & Co. book series by Jonathan Stroud. Before we knew it, we found ourselves more than a little bit obsessed with this world and the characters that inhabited it.
From there, we started reading - and then writing - fan fiction on AO3. We looked for gifs, fan art, and meta on Tumblr. We joined Discord servers because we couldn't stop talking about our favorite characters, sharing analysis, and swapping theories with other fans.
You see, we simply weren't ready for the story to end. We still aren't.
Along the way, we also met each other. And then one day, Lizzie sent us a link to a document titled "Questions for if we were doing a podcast, which we definitely aren't (but we totally should)."
You can probably guess how that went. Soon we had brainstormed a list of topics and coordinated recording episodes across our nine hour time difference.
And now, we're sharing it all with you (hi!). We're so glad you're here.
